If you only browse
This site counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics: which page was viewed, the page you came from, your country, and your browser, operating system and device type. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. To tell one visit from the next, Vercel uses a hash of the incoming request that it discards after 24 hours, so a visit cannot be followed back to you or across other sites.
That is the whole of it. There is no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker and no cookie set by this site, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
Pages are served by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for its own operational security. That happens at the hosting layer and is not available to this site.
If you contact a practitioner
The contact form stores exactly five things:
- Your name, as you typed it.
- Your email address, so the practitioner can reply to you.
- Your message.
- Which listing you wrote from, and when.
- A one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address, salted with a secret. The raw address is never written down. The hash exists only to stop one machine flooding the form, cannot be turned back into an address, and is the reason a rate limit is possible without keeping a log of who visited.
The message is forwarded to the practitioner with your email address as the reply-to, so their answer goes straight to you and not through this site. Your details are not sold, rented, or given to anyone other than the practitioner you wrote to.
Spam protection
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It is the reason the checkbox is there. Cloudflare receives the information needed to make that judgement and states that it does not use it to build a profile of you; their privacy terms apply to that step.
Who else handles it
- Vercel — hosting, delivery, and the page-view counts above.
- Neon — the database holding submitted enquiries.
- Resend — sends the forwarded email.
- Cloudflare — the Turnstile check above.
No one else. There is no CRM, no mailing list, and no marketing platform behind this site — writing to a practitioner does not subscribe you to anything, because there is nothing to be subscribed to.
Practitioner listings
Listings are compiled from public business information — Google’s public business listings and the practitioner’s own website — and were not agreed in advance with the people listed. Every listing carries a link to update or remove it. There is no charge, and removal is honoured without argument.
Asking for your data, or its deletion
Write to info@cranialtherapists.com from the address you used, and say what you would like. A copy of what is held, or its deletion, is done by hand and without conditions. Enquiries are kept while they are useful to the practitioner they were sent to and are deleted on request at any time.
If you are in the UK, the EU, or California, the rights your law gives you over this data are the ones described above, and this site does not require a formal request to honour them.
