Licensed massage therapist — Thailand, Ministry of Public Health (traditional Thai medicine)
I am a licensed massage therapist, registered in Thailand with the Ministry of Public Health in traditional Thai medicine. Outside that work I have practised yoga, Pilates and meditation for many years, and I have been on the receiving end of a great deal of bodywork, cranial work included.
Cranial work is also why this site exists. I had intense migraines for most of my life and I no longer do. I want to be exact about what that is and is not: it is one person’s experience, it is not evidence, and it is not a reason for you to expect the same. This directory makes no claim that these therapies treat any condition, and when I write about what the research actually shows, it will say what the research says regardless of what happened to me.
Why this exists
Cranial work is a thin, confusing category to search. The traditions inside it — craniosacral therapy, biodynamic craniosacral, cranial osteopathy, SOT and cranial fascial work, craniosacral massage — involve different training and different licensure, and almost every directory and search result flattens them into one word. Somebody looking for a biodynamic practitioner is shown a massage therapist who lists craniosacral eleventh among twelve services, and has no way to tell the difference.
This directory keeps them apart. A listing names the tradition that practitioner’s own material names, and nothing more. That is the entire editorial position, and it is enforced by a check that fails the build if a page claims a tradition its own data does not support.
What I can vouch for, and what I cannot
I can vouch for the compilation. Where each listing came from, what was checked against the practitioner’s own website, what was thrown away and why — that is my work, and it is set out in full on the methodology page.
I cannot vouch for the practitioners. My licence is in Thai massage, in Thailand. It is not a qualification to assess a craniosacral therapist in Los Angeles, and I make no such assessment. A listing here means the business exists, that a person read its own website, and that the tradition named on the page is the one its own material names. It is not an endorsement, not a recommendation, and not a judgement about anyone’s competence.
Nothing on this site is medical advice, and I am not the person to ask whether cranial work is right for you or your child. I do not practise cranial therapy, I am not listed in this directory, and I take no fee from any practitioner for being in it. How the site is paid for is on how we make money.
Getting in touch
info@cranialtherapists.com reaches me, not a ticket queue. Corrections are welcome and acted on. If you are listed here and would rather not be, say so and the listing comes down — no charge, no conditions, and no conversation about it required.
